The Main House is two-storied, 2500 square feet. Upstairs is the master suite including bedroom, changing room, walk in closet and bath on the north side and 2 bedrooms and shared full bath facing south.
The first floor is living room/dining room, farm kitchen, full bath, 4th bedroom or office, laundry room, extensive cupboards, pantries and storage. All the rooms are large, high ceilinged, and light filled. The attached north facing screened room is ideal for drying herbs and clothes, dining, and viewing jays, bluebirds, orioles, grosbeaks, finches, flickers, hummingbirds, swallows, juncos and robins as they rest and refuel on their flyway. At The Aerie, the people sit inside the aviary.
The double garage has locked storage cupboards along the entire south wall and cabinets along the north wall. Covered porch and front door along the south side and new trex decking at the north door. Most of the electricity to the main house is supplied by solar panels on a net exchange program with Pacific Power. High efficiency certified soapstone wood stove provides heat through the winter in addition to a forced air electric heat pump. Huge cottonwood tree on the south side keeps The Aerie cool in the summer as does air conditioning.
